At Sea Fishing Store, we stand behind our premium fishing gear with the same confidence we have in our Century rods and braid mainlines. While we meticulously inspect every item before shipping, we understand that sometimes a return or exchange is necessary. Our policy is designed to be as straightforward as tying a clinch knot.

Our Return Promise

We offer a 15-day return window from the date you receive your order (excluding certain items – see below). All returned items must be:

  • In original, unused condition
  • In original packaging with all tags attached
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Note: For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on footwear (boots), gloves, or socks unless they are defective. All other items in our inventory (from blue-water lures to boat rods) are eligible for return or exchange.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Step 1: Contact Our Team

Step 2: Wait for Authorization

Our team will respond within 2 business days with:

  • Return authorization number
  • Shipping instructions
  • Return address (our Fresno headquarters)

Step 3: Ship Your Return

Package the item securely (we recommend using the original packaging) and include:

  • Return authorization number clearly visible
  • Copy of your invoice or order confirmation

Return shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Timing: Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receipt
  • Method: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Shipping costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable

Note: Depending on your financial institution, it may take 3-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Exchanges

For exchanges:

  • Follow the same return process above
  • Clearly state your desired exchange item in your request
  • We’ll ship the new item once we receive your return (additional shipping charges may apply)
  • For faster service, you may place a new order and return the original separately

Damaged or Defective Items

If your Century rod, braid mainline, or other gear arrives damaged:

  • Include photos of the damage and packaging
  • We’ll arrange a prepaid return label if needed
  • Expect expedited processing for replacement items

International Anglers Note: For customers outside the U.S., any customs fees or import taxes are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (except for defective items).
